Human System
Children need people who can show up consistently: teachers, school leadership, ministry workers, healthcare support, and operations help.

Build the system. Multiply the impact.
Refuge Ministries International is already serving children and families in Liberia through church planting, tuition-free education, weekly basic healthcare support, and community empowerment. Your gift helps strengthen the system behind the mission.
The focus
Children need people who can show up consistently: teachers, school leadership, ministry workers, healthcare support, and operations help.
Shared tablets can help students practice phonics, reading, math, basic computer skills, visual lessons, and AI-supported learning software throughout the day.
Income-generating tools can train people while helping the ministry become stronger locally through practical production and small-business activity.
Responsible scale
The current team can handle about 200 students while also supporting ministry operations. To reach 2,000 children responsibly, Refuge Ministries would need to grow into roughly 10 teams of that size.
Estimate based on the current staff team of 11 staff plus the principal, or 12 total workers/leaders, serving a near-term capacity of about 200 students.
Learning tablets
Many children in the community are behind their expected grade level. Shared tablets can rotate between students throughout the day, giving children access to phonics, reading, math, computer basics, visual learning, and AI-integrated learning tools.
One tablet does not have to serve only one child. A single device can become a shared learning station used by multiple students across different class periods.
Long-term sustainability
Refuge Ministries has already trained women in practical skills such as soap making. The next step is equipping people with tools that can turn training into real production, local income, and ministry sustainability.
Why giving matters
RACE Academy began with 30 children and now serves 97 children in the 2025/2026 academic year. The school is currently operating inside the church building while the ministry works toward dedicated classroom space.
A nurse visits the campus three times per week to help examine children and provide basic medical attention for common health issues in the community.
The ministry has trained more than 40 young women in practical skills such as soap making, with the next need being tools and startup support so they can put that training to work.
